Castle Rock is conveniently located about halfway in between Denver and Colorado Springs. It’s Population in July 2008 was 44,369 (city-data.com). Castle Rock is the County seat of Douglas County. The town is named after the small prominent butte called ‘Castle Rock’ in the area.
In 2007, Castle Rock was named as one of the Top 10 places to live in the magazine called ‘Family Circle’ and was also listed as one of the Top 100 places to live in the US, in ‘Relocate America’ in 2009.
