Colorado Springs is located just a tad east of the Central part of the State of Colorado. Its Population in July 2008 was 380,307 (city-data.com). It is the County Seat in El Paso County and is the second most populous city in state of Colorado.
In 2006, ‘Money’ magazine listed Colorado Springs as the #1 “Best Cities to Live” in the US. And, in 2009, ‘Outside Magazine’ listed it #1 as one of “America’s Best Cities”.
The elevation of Colorado Springs is about 6,035 feet and sits near the base of the famous Pikes Peak Mountain.
